Dr. Ganglin Yin is a distinguished leader in the field of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), with over forty years of clinical and teaching experience across China, Russia, the United States, and Canada.
Education Background
After graduating from Hunan University of Chinese Medicine with a Bachelor of Medicine degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (General Practice), Dr. Yin continued his academic journey by completing a Master’s degree in Internal Medicine of TCM, specializing in the study and application of the classical text Jin Gui Yao Lue (Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet).
In 1993, Dr. Yin was appointed as an Associate Professor of Acupuncture at Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, reflecting his outstanding contributions to TCM education and clinical practice.
Professional Experience
Dr. Yin was later invited to Russia to practice traditional Chinese medicine, where he treated numerous patients and made significant contributions to healthcare. His exceptional achievements during this period were reported by the World Journal (《世界日报》), a major Chinese-language newspaper headquartered in the United States and, at the time, the largest Chinese newspaper circulated globally, outside of China.
Building upon his success in Russia, Dr. Yin was subsequently invited to Canada in 1997 and the United States in 2000 to teach traditional Chinese medicine.
During his time in Canada and the U.S., he authored several important publications, including:
- Advanced Modern Chinese Acupuncture Therapy
- Three-Needle Therapy (a pioneering work written directly in English that systematically presents his specialized acupuncture techniques)
His academic contributions further advanced the global understanding and acceptance of TCM practices.
In January 2001, Dr. Yin officially assumed full leadership as President of the institution, guiding it into a new era of academic excellence.
